Sorry for my lack of posting yesterday! I was extra-busy with work (which is always good!), then ran around like a chicken-with-my-head-cut-off for the rest of the day! I had to hit up Macy’s for the last day of their “20% off anything in my registry” sale… and I got a brand new set of All-Clad cookware! Wahoo!! This is my first set of “grown-up” cookware, and I can’t WAIT to start using it! I need to find a really awesome recipe to break-in my new stuff… any suggestions??
I would have started using them last night, but I was a little occupied making these:

Peanut Butter Temptations. These cookies are the devil. They have no redeeming nutritional qualities whatsoever, but they taste amazing! If you need a cookie to impress, these will fit the bill. But be careful. They’re addictive. I got the urge to bake these last night when I passed this tempting bag in the Christmas section of Target:

Put anything in a Christmas wrapper and I’ll buy it. Seriously.
Actually, I was motivated to make the cookies because we were supposed to have a house-guest this weekend! I always get that urge to bake when I’m going to be hosting someone at my house. Actually, I always have the urge to bake… but I rarely have a good excuse to do it! I certainly don’t want baked goods around my house all the time– I don’t have that kind of willpower.
Unfortunately, our guest fell through. My super-talented cousin was going to be staying with us for his upcoming audition, but this morning he woke up with the flu, and won’t be able to make it! Bummer. The even bigger bummer is, now I’m stuck with all these cookies!! Ugh. Luckily, I know a few friends who will help us eat them.
On to happier news…
I saw some of our NEW greeting cards in Target yesterday!! There is now a section featuring our LOL Catz cards:

(I did the one of the Siamese cat yelling at the drive-thru window)
And if you want to hear my little voice singing in a card…

Pick up this guy. I am actually singing along with three of my co-workers, but I’m the only female of the group– so if you hear a girl’s voice, it’s mine.
This is the logo that’s on the back of our sound cards:

Sorry for the terrible pictures… I had to use my pathetic camera phone!
It’s so exciting to finally see what we’ve been working on out on the shelves! The greeting card process can be a long one– there’s usually lots of testing done in select markets before you actually see the card distributed nation-wide. In fact, I remember walking into a recording studio before I moved to LA for some of these suckers, so that means we were working on these over two years ago! Crazy!!
I’ve gotta get back to work! I’ll be back later– hopefully with pictures of whatever I cook tonight!!
