Why I’m so lucky to have my mom.

She knew I’d be a bit bummed today, after leaving my friends and family in Kansas, so she snuck a little holiday care package into my suitcase! It totally made my day.

There was definitely an ornament theme:

Starbuck’s (I love their iced green tea!)

Mickey as “Bob Cratchit” (first of a series!!)

And my favorite, BOLT!! (because he looks like my puppy, Yasha)

Did you know in Disneyland Paris, they called him VOLT instead! I wonder why??

Last year, Yasha dressed up as BOLT for Halloween:

Even though it was just a piece of construction paper taped to her side, she HATED it! She was a good sport for a couple pictures, then she ripped it off!

And to take MORE pictures, I got an early Christmas present in the mail from my mom, too!!

A NEW CAMERA!!! Wahoo!!!!

I’ve been in desperate need of a new camera, and I love this one! My husband has the same model, so I got mine in PINK. Since I’m not going to be home on Christmas Day with my family this year, my mom is sending our presents early! We’re going to be in Colorado with my husband’s family for Christmas, then we’re going to visit mine after, so it will be nice to have less presents to pack in our suitcases this way. Plus, she said I can use it early, as long as I remember that it’s my Christmas present. Yay!!

An empty jar of almond butter! NOOOO!!!!

Don’t worry, I just picked up a new jar at the store tonight. My fridge was EMPTY when we got home last night (at MIDNIGHT– thanks a lot, SNOW…), so it’s nice to have fresh groceries in the house again. Green juice, here I come!!

I’ve got a lot to catch up on, but I’m excited to be home and getting back to my regular routine– for a couple weeks, anyway. I can’t believe how close we are to Christmas!!
