I loved that movie also – it definitely was an eye opener. I am so glad I was eating organic meat for awhile before I saw that, I think I would have been sick if not. I also am guilty of not buying seasonal, I need to be better at that.

I have yet to see that Movie! I need to remind the bf, he wants to see it as well!
we’re trying out best to buy more organic, and in the summer I will be going to the farmers markets and buying locally as well.

I saw that movie! It definitely was a huge eye opener and truly fantastic. So many things I saw in that movie just pissed me off (in a good way, if that’s possible?).

I LOVE cooking with coconut oil…it is the best! Glad you saw the movie…definitely makes you think!!

I have yet to see Food Inc! i know it will be eye opening for sure!! I do love buying local fruits, veggies and products! I cant wait for the summer time for farmers markets in boston!

The part that got me the most about that movie..
2 things
1- that that family thought it was cheaper to buy fast food than conventional food. You could feed a family for $11, if you got creative!

#2 and the one that has stuck out most in my mind – Every time you go through the check out, you are voting for what you want to see more of in your grocery store. That one really really got to me, and I think about it every time I go into the store now!!

Thanks for the movie review! I had actually been putting off watching it because I was nervous I wouldn’t be able to stomach it – I remember reading Fast Food Nation and the parts about the slaughter houses, etc. totally turned my stomach and I had to skip a few pages here and there. I know what I’m renting tonight – perfect day for it too since there’s a full-on blizzard happening right now!
