Hi friends! Happy Sunday!
I can’t believe tonight’s the LAST episode ever of LOST! Last night, we felt incredibly lucky that we got to attend the UCB’s Lost comedy event to celebrate the end of the show. Thanks to one of our good friends, we were FIRST in line for the show and got awesome front row seats right on the stage! They were recording the show for the Season 6 DVD, so maybe you’ll see me on there!
There were some very cool surprise guests, including executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, as well as some of LOST’s actors! My husband took a few sneaky shots of the show on his cell phone:
Here’s Richard Alpert explaining to “The Others” that he doesn’t wear eyeliner.
The Man in Black did the best Al Pacino impersonation I’ve ever seen in my life. Seriously!
Ethan popped up for a funny sketch, too!
All in all, this was perhaps the FUNNIEST show I’ve ever seen! I was so impressed, and definitely felt so lucky that we got to attend! I’m not usually the type who lucks out like that with winning tickets! It was a great way to kick off the season finale festivities tonight! For those of you who watch LOST, how are you celebrating?
The rest of our weekend has been pretty laid back. We saw MacGruber on Friday night– and it was SO funny! Probably NOT a movie I’d take my grandma, too, but I highly recommend it.
As far as food goes, I’ve been eating lots of the same stuff:
And after my success with goat’s milk yogurt this week, I bought a big container that I’ve been indulging in a bit each day:
I bought the plain version, so I could control how sweet my servings are. Lately, I’ve been enjoying a splash of vanilla and pure maple syrup stirred in:
So satisfying! This stuff keeps me full for a long time, and tastes like dessert after one of my huge goat cheese salads!
Last night, I was STARVING when I got home from the show, so I indulged in a little raw brownie batter, too:
Yum!!!!! I ate it FROZEN, and it was perfect!
I think we’re going to try and see the new Michael Douglas movie, Solitary Man, this afternoon, and I think you KNOW what we’ll be watching tonight!
Hope you all have a great night!!

IT was a great show that will be missed!!
I am in the process of making my first-ever batch of goat milk yogurt in an Excalibur dehydrator. It has to ferment for 24 hours, so by afternoon on Monday, I will see how it worked out. My 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in March and after some research into options to help her, I discovered the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (breakingtheviciouscycle.info). We’re now making everything from scratch in an attempt to see if eliminating all complex carbohydrates will help her gut heal. I was wondering what I could put in the yogurt if my daughter didn’t like it and will definitely try vanilla (can’t do maple syrup, unfortunately). Glad I found your blog for this and other healthy food ideas.
i still gotta try that raw brownie batter….looks so amazing!!!!
I can’t wait to start watching Lost episodes from the first season… I stopped watching it after a few seasons (life gets in the way
), so am excited to re-watch and catch up!
