POW!

Hi friends! Happy Monday!!! How was your weekend?

I watched two of my best friends get married on Saturday, so needless to say, mine was pretty awesome. ;)

We took lots of fun pictures in Kansas City. :D

And rode around on a sweet trolley:

(isn’t my husband’s “bridesmaid” outfit cute??) It was fun being color-coordinated with my date… perhaps we should do it more often, like Alex and Simon of the Real Housewives? ;)

The reception was in a loft in Downtown KC:

The entry way was adorned with pictures of the bride and groom, with their friends and family through the years:

And featured some of their GORGEOUS engagement pics! This one’s my fave:

Check out the custom-made sign for the ceremony:

(the groom is a comic book writer) And when the sign caught the light, it decorated the floor, too!

So. Cool.

The ceremony was beautiful, and was filled with many happy tears. :D

After this long day, we couldn’t wait to EAT!!

I couldn’t even begin to tell you what all of that is… but it was tasty!

I also enjoyed a couple glasses of vino, and thought I was really clever when I put this fake mustache on my wine glass:

Goofball. ;)

And, as you guys know, I couldn’t WAIT to dig into THIS:

They hired the same lady who did our wedding cake last year, so I knew it was going to ROCK! It’s seriously the best wedding cake I’ve ever tasted in my life.

Two flavors: marble with chocolate ganache filling, and traditional white with raspberry filling. My friend, Sam, and I did what any two girls should do–> got a slice of each and split them!!

Mmmm…. cake. It was everything I had hoped it would be.  (in fact, I might have taken a fork straight to the bottom layer by the end of the night… I can’t be trusted around wedding cake!)  ;)

The reception turned into quite a dance party, and lasted well into the wee hours of the morning…

My friend, Sam, caught the bouquet!! (she’s dating my husband’s best friend… and we’re hoping he’ll take this as a HINT!!) ;)

And the bride changed into a super-cute dress towards the end of the night, so she could get her groove on:

Isn’t she GORGEOUS?!

Overall, it was a beautiful wedding and a fun night filled with music, dancing, and family and friends! You know, sometimes I forget what a WORKOUT dancing can be– it was like a 3-hour Zumba class! ;) I woke up the next morning so SORE!

We flew back into Los Angeles last night, and we are totally exhausted! I think I need a recovery day… and a nap after work!!

The worst part of getting home after a week of traveling? No groceries!!! Argh. :( This is when I wish Trader Joe’s had a delivery service…  it would be awesome if they could just teleport some ripe avocados my way! Ha ha.

Okay, I gotta get back into my work groove! Hope you all are having a good day!!
