Hey guys! How’s your weekend going so far?
So far, I’ve spent mine making some of these:
A couple of my good friends are going through a rough time, so I thought a batch of macaroons might cheer them up.
Macaroons make everything better, right?
So does yellow tissue paper, if you ask me. It’s just so bright and cheery!

Austin’s been spending the day at Comic-Con:
(…and you wonder why I didn’t want to go with him?)
So I started my day off with a visit to my favorite colon-hydrotherapist, followed by some green juice and a little shopping:
I hit up Nordstrom Rack for some dress shopping–> and obviously had some success in that department.
All together, these three dresses were just under $100! Total. (I love discount shopping.) We have quite a few weddings coming up, so I was keeping my eyes peeled for rehearsal dinner dresses, and a formal one for a wedding we’re attending in late August. I think one of these may do the trick, but I’m keeping the receipt and tags on just in case… I’m the queen of changing my mind and making returns.
Post-shopping, I checked a quick workout off my to-do list:
I love this workout DVD–> you can choose whether you want to do upper body, lower body, or abs (or a combination of 2 or 3). Each section is only 20 minutes, and you only do each move for 1 minute, giving you NO EXCUSES to not squeeze in a great workout, even if you’re crunched for time! I did the lower body workout today, and my legs were burning in no time. I would never do so many lunges or squats on my own, so this was just the push I needed!

Lunch followed:
I used the HUGE head of romaine from my CSA box as the base of my salad, topped with shredded carrots and some tahini-dill dressing. All that romaine nearly filled my 4-quart serving bowl!
I’ve been enjoying a little almond butter creation lately, too:
2 Tablespoons raw almond butter
1 teaspoon coconut oil
generous dash of cinnamon
pinch of Himalayan salt
a few drops of NuNaturals Vanilla Liquid Stevia
I like to mix it all together, then throw it in the freezer so it gets solid like FUDGE.
Like an Almond Butter “Snickerdoodle” Fudge.

Now I’m off to walk this little lady…
Because she’s been napping ALL DAY. Rough life, huh?
Ferris has a pretty tough life, too. Laying on comfy blankets is hard work.
Those two fur-faces are going to join me for a Dexter marathon tonight!
I got addicted to this show last year– while Austin was traveling for work all over Europe– and now that they’ve released Season 5 on iTunes, I’m a really happy camper. (it isn’t available on DVD for another month!) Who knew I could enjoy a show about a serial killer so much? LOL
Hope you’re all having a great weekend!!

Love that snickerdoodle “fudge”!
I still have not had macaroons.
Can they only be made with a dehydrator? Gotta invest in one, perhaps…
