Welcome!

I'm an illustrator and graphic designer living in Los Angeles, training for my first marathon, and working towards a healthier lifestyle. I hope to inspire others to live healthier lives by sharing what I learn along the way!

About

I originally started blogging as a way to track my diet and fitness routine as I prepared for my October 2009 wedding. Now that the big day has come and gone, I’ve decided to keep up my blogging, but I felt like a shift in focus was necessary. I’ve moved on from crazy pre-wedding crash diets to a more balanced, healthy approach to food and fitness. Hence, my new blog!

I’ve been on a crazy over-indulgence roller coaster ever since my wedding day, starting with this:

Followed by a little bit of this:

Then we went to Paris for our honeymoon:

And did EVEN MORE of this:

So when I say we have been over-indulging, I’m not kidding!!!

But that’s okay. I’ve re-gained my sanity and am back on the health wagon. I’m working to slowly transition into a healthier lifestyle that I can maintain long-term. No more crash diets. And hopefully no more binges. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

So I’m here to be a bit of a “guinea pig”– trying to find the best balance of diet and exercise to find my “happy weight,” without feeling restricted! I want to prove that being healthy can still be fun and indulgent!
