I think it’s important to switch up your workout routine often, and having a small library of workout DVD’s to choose from makes that easy for me!
I know there are a million workout dvd’s out there, so to make the choice less overwhelming, I thought I’d use this page to recommend a few of my favorites:
Physique 57

Physique 57 is my absolute favorite workout method! Created by Tanya Becker, Physique 57 is a full-body interval workout, using a ballet bar (or chair back, if you’re doing it at home like me!), hand weights and a playground ball! With an emphasis on small, isolated movements using your own body weight, your muscles will quickly become fatigued– a method they call “Interval Overload.” Basically, your muscles burn until they can’t burn anymore– and then they burn some more! Thankfully, after each interval set, your muscles are stretched for relief!
And in case you missed it– you can read about my experience at the Physique 57 Beverly Hills studio! These classes are SO FUN, you almost forget how much your muscles are burning. |
Jillian Michaels

No More Trouble Zones is a 40-minute total-body workout, featuring 7 circuits of strength-training, plus a warm-up and cool-down. It’s great for days when you have time for a FULL body workout! Jillian incorporates plenty of moves combining lower and upper body work, so that you burn as many calories as possible in the time you have!
**While this workout is tough, it’s also great for beginners because the DVD menu gives you the option to customize your workout– you can select only the circuits you want to do! |

The 30-Day Shred includes 3 workout levels that increase in difficulty: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. Jillian uses her 3-2-1 method in each workout– 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, followed by 1 minute of core work. Each workout is only 20-minutes long, but the intervals are difficult enough to really work up a sweat! I like to use this DVD when I’m short on time, and want to squeeze in a full body workout! |

Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism is a weight-free workout! Jillian includes seven 6-minute circuits of kickboxing, plyometrics, squats, lunges, and a variety other weight-free moves. (very similar to the Insanity method!) It’s a great workout for burning calories, and building a lean body! The great thing about this DVD is that you don’t have to do ALL the circuits if you’re a beginner, or just short on time– the DVD menu lets you customize your workout and choose your favorite circuits! |
